- Define, propose and implement a municipal youth policy; b) Plan action strategies in favor of young people;

- Promote the participation of young people in the social, economic and cultural life of Ilha do Sal;

- Promote, in collaboration with other municipal departments, NGOs, associations and youth groups, a concertation platform with the purpose of promoting the satisfaction of the needs of youth;

- Grant, by means of previously defined criteria and procedures, support of a material technical and financial nature to youth associations and groups;

- Promote exchanges with young people, both nationally and internationally, through Youth Week;

- Promote actions aimed at occupying young people's free time;

- Support and promote training, information and leisure spaces for young people;

- Ensure the realization of the municipal policy and objectives for youth, in conjunction with the services of the municipality that are responsible for the areas of sport, culture, economy and social action and in collaboration and partnership with companies and organizations civil society;

- Promote youth participation, by encouraging associations and volunteering; k) Support and promote training, information and leisure spaces for youth;

- Promote youth entrepreneurship;

- Propose and adopt measures to regulate and support the organization of commercial activity, the exercise of street vending activity, at fairs and markets and to control the expansion of informal trade;

- Issue technical opinions and perform other tasks that are determined in the area of ​​investment promotion.
